The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination has launched a new food products packaging centre at its Innovation Centre in Al Bahia, Abu Dhabi. The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.
The centre, developed in partnership with Fresh on Table, will employ People of Determination, supporting their professional development and job stability. The packaged products include fruits, vegetables, fish, poultry, dairy, honey, and other animal products.
Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organisation, highlighted the importance of the collaboration. “This partnership with Fresh on Table advances the marketing of organic fruits and vegetables in a modern and efficient way,” he said. “It also supports our efforts to train and invest in the talents of People of Determination, providing them with permanent job opportunities.”
The centre’s goal is not only to provide employment but also to enhance professional skills through specially designed training programs. Al Humaidan stressed the organisation’s focus on enabling People of Determination to become active contributors to society, urging more private sector partnerships to support these initiatives.
He also praised Fresh on Table’s role in promoting local farming and sustainability, saying the initiative aligns with the UAE’s goals of food security and reducing carbon footprints.
Atul Chopra, Founder and CEO of Fresh on Table, expressed his satisfaction with the new centre. “This partnership underscores our commitment to sustainability and inspiring meaningful change for People of Determination,” Chopra said. “We look forward to future projects led by People of Determination and remain dedicated to supporting local agriculture and reducing environmental impact.”
Fresh on Table is an agri-tech platform focused on connecting local farms with the HORECA sector, facilitating fresh, sustainable food delivery from farm to table.
