Vinsak, a leading name in the printing and packaging industry, has completed the acquisition of Rotatek Printing and Packaging Technologies SL, a move aimed at bolstering its global footprint and manufacturing capabilities. Rotatek’s manufacturing hub will remain firmly rooted in Barcelona, Spain, where recent expansions have added 15,000 square feet to its facilities.

Dubai has been selected as Vinsak’s global headquarters, consolidating management and strategic planning for its varied operations worldwide. In the new setup, Rotatek will function as Rotatek Printing & Packaging Technologies SL under Vinsak’s organizational umbrella, with its base in Dubai.

Speaking to Packaging MEA, the Managing Director of Rotatek emphasized the significance of the acquisition for Vinsak, stating, “This marks a pivotal milestone in Vinsak’s strategic evolution from distributor to manufacturer.” Highlighting synergies between the companies, the spokesperson underscored Vinsak’s ability to capitalize on Rotatek’s strengths in security printing, flexible packaging, cartons, and short-run labels, focusing on key markets such as MEA and India.

Moving ahead, our strategy includes expanding Rotatek’s range of products and strengthening its global market footprint by emphasizing advanced technologies and establishing new distribution partnerships. This approach aligns with Vinsak’s overarching goal of improving customer service through localized support and accelerated delivery capabilities.

Key products such as the RK 250 Plus and RK Perfect NT security printing machines remain pivotal in Rotatek’s offerings in India, where it aims to grow its installed base and introduce tailored solutions.

Rotatek’s commitment to innovation and industry leadership is underscored by upcoming launches of the Universal 850 for pharmaceutical and carton markets in 2024, followed by the revamped Brava semi-rotary press for labels in 2025, set to debut at Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona.

The acquisition also marks a continuation of Vinsak’s longstanding relationship with Rotatek, dating back to 1996. “We’ve sold over 100 Rotatek presses globally, including complex configurations that have significantly boosted productivity and reduced costs for our clients,” highlighted Bajaj.

Integral to this acquisition is the retention of Rotatek’s core technical team, ensuring continuity and expertise in serving over 1,800 machines worldwide, some dating back three decades. “We’re proud to integrate Rotatek’s talented workforce into our global operations without any redundancies,” emphasized Bajaj.
