TNA showcases cutting-edge snack packaging innovations at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024

TNA’s robag® 3e: Revolutionizing snack packaging with industry-leading speed and precision.

TNA Solutions showcased its advanced snack and confectionery packaging and processing solutions at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, held from 5–7 November in Dubai. The company, known for providing comprehensive end-to-end systems for the food industry, featured a range of technologies aimed at optimizing production efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting manufacturers in meeting evolving consumer demands.

At the event, TNA’s flagship tna robag® 3e vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) packaging system was displayed. The robag® 3e is noted for its industry-leading speed, reaching up to 250 bags per minute. Designed for high precision, the system minimizes product waste to as low as 0.1%, making it a key solution for companies aiming to reduce losses while maximizing output.

Also on exhibit was the tna intelli-flav® OMS 5.1 on-machine seasoning system, which offers manufacturers precise control over seasoning application. The system employs a mass-based gravimetric approach for both spraying and dry seasoning, ensuring accurate seasoning levels based on pre-set recipes. This technology allows for efficient customization, adapting seasoning levels to specific product requirements. Additionally, the OMS 5.1 combines powder flavoring and liquid oil applications in one drum, providing flexibility for brands to adjust to changing market demands.

“These solutions reflect the ongoing need for manufacturers to innovate in response to market shifts,” said Palani Karai, General Manager of TNA MENA. He noted the Middle East’s growing role in snack production and the preference for partnering with global solution providers to enhance production capabilities and manage costs.

TNA has recently expanded its regional impact through a partnership with the Egyptian National Services Projects Organisation (NSPO) Ministry of Defence. This collaboration established two production lines for the Egyptian Army, with one line dedicated to hash browns and rosti production at 2 metric tonnes per hour, and the other line producing up to 10 metric tonnes of french fries and wedges per hour. Each system covers the entire process, from washing and de-stoning to packaging, underscoring TNA’s commitment to complete production solutions.

With these systems, TNA demonstrated its expertise in integrated food production technology, positioning itself as a key player in supporting snack and confectionery manufacturers.
