swissQprint unveils flexible automation option at drupa

swissQprint’s new automation module showcased at drupa 2024, enhancing productivity in flatbed printing.

swissQprint introduced a new automation option at drupa 2024, aimed at enhancing productivity in flatbed printing by automating the unloading process. This innovation is designed to ease the workload on operators, allowing them to focus on other tasks while maintaining high output.

“More and more customers are looking to automate their printing processes while preserving flexibility,” said Carmen Eicher, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at swissQprint. The new automation module can handle processed media up to 3.2×2 metres, effectively managing large print runs. However, loading remains a manual process.

The company sought initial customer feedback during the development phase. “drupa is now the perfect opportunity to show the conceptual study and collect broad-based feedback that will go into final development,” Eicher added. The finalized product is expected to be available in 2025, tailored to meet market demands.

Maintaining Versatility

The new unloading option does not compromise the versatility of swissQprint’s machines. Customers can still perform special applications, short runs, and roll jobs, as the unloading module can be detached from the printer when needed.

Exhibit Highlights

At drupa 2024, swissQprint showcased this new unloading feature alongside other advancements. The high-end flatbed printer Kudu, known for its performance and quality, was used to demonstrate the unloading option. Additionally, the efficient and versatile Karibu 2, along with Nyala—Europe’s best-selling flatbed printer in its class for the past nine years—were also on display.

Visitors to the swissQprint stand were also impressed by a comprehensive application gallery, with the neon room being a particular highlight.

Extended Warranty

swissQprint continues to emphasize quality, reliability, and service by offering a 36-month warranty on all new machines and configurations since April 2024, underscoring their commitment to customer satisfaction.
