Sun Chemical, a leading supplier of packaging materials, will be participating in key events at drupa 2024 to showcase its expertise in shaping the future of packaging. The company, known for its inks, coatings, and adhesives, will collaborate with key partners to highlight industry insights and advancements.
One of the highlighted events is the Sustainable Packaging Showroom, where Jonathan Sexton, Marketing Director at Sun Chemical, will join partners Comexi Group, COIM Group, Energy Sciences Inc., and Wikoff Color Corporation. The showroom, scheduled for June 3rd, will explore the latest advancements in sustainable packaging. Attendees will learn about integrating offset and flexo printing technologies with electron beam curable inks to reduce solvent usage and enhance recyclability.
Another event, the #oneBARRIER PrimeCycle Discussion, will feature experts from BOBST, Dow, and Sun Chemical. This session, scheduled for June 3rd, will discuss maximizing the mono-material content of alternative polymer-based flexible packaging solutions with high and ultra-high barrier properties to support recyclability and meet new packaging requirements.
Sun Chemical will also participate in live demonstrations with SOMA, showcasing the latest in functional coatings and packaging innovations. These demonstrations will highlight technologies such as the ten-color Optima² Flexo Press, known for its advanced automation and built-in intelligence.
Additionally, Sun Chemical is sponsoring the FTA Europe Diamond Awards 2024, celebrating the best in flexographic printing across Europe.
