The Sukkur Beverages team and PepsiCo leadership at the inauguration of the new Aqua Fina facility, marking a milestone in sustainability.

Sukkur Beverages’ new Aqua Fina production facility in Pakistan, inaugurated on January 6, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. The state-of-the-art plant is designed to be self-sustaining and eco-friendly, showcasing the leadership of Madam Sayeeda Leghari. The inauguration was attended by Eugene Willemsen, CEO of International Beverages at PepsiCo, along with other senior executives and local dignitaries.

Asif Qayyum, General Manager of Sukkur Beverages, highlighted the importance of the facility, stating, “The commitment to sustainability and innovation drives the company forward, ensuring a positive impact on both the environment and the community.” The plant is now not only self-sufficient in producing Aqua Fina for its franchise but is also positioned to support national distribution, helping PepsiCo strengthen its position as a market leader in the non-carbonated beverage (NCB) segment.

The new facility is equipped with Krones PET filling lines capable of producing 20,000 bottles per hour, incorporating cutting-edge technology. This investment is part of Sukkur Beverages’ ongoing effort to enhance production capabilities, improve efficiency, and offer consumers more choices.

Sukkur Beverages aims to continue its growth, with plans to expand its market share in the NCB segment, where it already holds a 70% share. The company’s vision is to grow “faster, stronger, and better,” building on the success of its carbonated soft drink (CSD) business.

The new plant underscores Sukkur Beverages’ strategic focus on sustainable practices, technological innovation, and long-term growth in Pakistan’s competitive beverage market.
