SOMA has successfully concluded a record-breaking 2024, marking a milestone year of sustained growth and innovation despite global challenges. The company, which has now seen five consecutive years of turnover growth, including through the COVID-19 pandemic, has set new benchmarks across multiple key performance indicators.

In 2024, SOMA achieved several significant milestones, including record turnover driven by robust demand for its innovative technologies. The company also saw an all-time high in repeat sales, reflecting strong relationships with existing customers, and secured a record number of contractual agreements, laying a solid foundation for 2025.
As a key year in the printing industry, 2024 was especially significant for SOMA due to the drupa trade fair, often referred to as the “Olympic Games” of the sector. The company introduced several groundbreaking innovations at the event, including:
- The Optima 2, a 10-color flagship flexo press featuring advanced bounce control and automation for enhanced efficiency.
- The Intelligent Printing Unit (IPU), a solution for single-pass operations that boosts efficiency in package print production.
- The Proxima, a flexo press that combines simplicity with sophisticated technology.
The Pluto III.2, a top-selling slitter rewinder with an integrated waste management system.
These product launches underscore SOMA’s ongoing commitment to quality, sustainability, and technological advancement in the printing industry.
SOMA also made significant strides in expanding its global presence in 2024. The company opened a new service center in Latin America to provide local support and faster service to customers in the region. Additionally, SOMA expanded its service support in North America and strengthened its presence in the Middle East, Balkan region, and parts of South America through strategic partnerships with local representatives.
At its headquarters in Lanskroun, Czech Republic, SOMA completed the construction of its third manufacturing hall, Hall C. This new facility includes a state-of-the-art paint shop, further increasing the company’s production capacity and operational efficiency.
Looking ahead, Pavla Kusá, Commercial Director, reflected on SOMA’s achievements: “This year has been a testament to the strength of our team, our commitment to innovation, and our ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the global market. As we move into 2025, we remain dedicated to our mission of supporting our customers and delivering exceptional technology, support, and value globally.”
