SIG, a global packaging solutions provider, has secured the sale of 13 filling lines during its participation in Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, held from November 5–7 in Dubai. The sold lines encompass SIG’s full range of aseptic carton, bag-in-box, and spouted pouch systems.

Abdelghany Eladib, President & General Manager for India, Middle East & Africa at SIG, commented, “Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 has been an exceptional platform for us to demonstrate our dedication to innovation and sustainability. Securing the sale of 13 filling lines is a testament to the trust our customers place in our solutions.” He added that SIG is committed to advancing the industry with innovative technologies.

During the event, SIG also highlighted its Customer Experience Hub, where new F&B products are developed by identifying industry trends and addressing consumer needs. The hub serves as a space for F&B manufacturers and entrepreneurs to collaborate on new products and market strategies.

A significant announcement came from SIG and Almarai, the Middle East’s leading dairy company, as they launched the “Pioneering Together for 20 Years” campaign, celebrating their two decades of partnership. Almarai recently selected SIG as a strategic partner for its five-year expansion plan, focusing on market leadership and sustainability.

SIG also unveiled its newest addition to the SIG Neo filling machine portfolio, the SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic. This machine can fill up to 15,000 SIG Slimline Bloc carton packs per hour, a 33% increase in output compared to previous models.

Additionally, SIG introduced the world’s first long-life probiotic buttermilk in aseptic carton packs, developed in collaboration with MilkyMist and AnaBio Technologies. This innovation sets a new benchmark for integrating probiotics into shelf-stable beverages.

The event also featured SIG Talks, where global experts discussed key topics such as packaging material innovations, sustainability, and digital advancements.
