New regional base also includes facilities for training customers in MEA and Turkey
UAE SIG Combibloc Obeikan, the joint venture between SIG Combibloc and the Obeikan Investment Group, opened in March a new regional headquar- ters in Dubai.The new base in the city’s Sili- con Oasis also features training facilities to serve customers in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey.
Chris Alt, COO of SIG Combibloc Obeikan, said the opening of the facilities mark “the culmination of over 10 years in the region and demonstrates our commitment to provide excel- lent services and support to our esteemed customers in Middle East and Africa”.
“With our new headquarters, we strive to provide tailored training solutions for our customers and consolidate all our regional functions, both of which are essential as we expand our business and services to meet the demands of our customers and growing number of employees in the region,” he said.
Built over 4,150m2, the head quarters includes three storeys of offices, five classrooms, and seven meeting rooms with audio- visual facilities.
Employees have started moving into the new building, which can accommodate close to 180 employees and meet the company’s regional future growth needs.
The SIG Combibloc Knowledge Academy and Training Centre will provide courses developed by company experts and consult- ing services for customers and regional employees.
The new Training Center is SIG Combibloc’s fifth, joining facili- ties in Brazil, China, Germany, and Thailand. The Knowledge Academy is Obeikan’s second in the region, alongside Riyadh. But the site is the first to combines a regional headquarters with both a Knowldege Academy and Train- ing Centre.
Established in 2001 with six employees, SIG Combibloc Obei- kan now has a growing team of over 400 employees in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey
