Rebound launches subscription-based recycling platform to boost circular economy

Maryam Al Mansoori, Founder & General Manager of Rebound, leading the charge in recycling innovation.

Rebound, a UAE-based subsidiary of Sirius International Holding, has launched a subscription-based recycling platform aimed at enhancing the circular economy. The platform facilitates global connections between buyers, sellers, and partners of recyclable materials, while offering a model that charges 0% commission on trades to boost profitability.

The platform, which now supports a wider range of materials including plastics, rubber, e-waste, metals, and paper/cardboard, provides users with dedicated account management, sustainability reporting, and access to industry discussions via a community page. Rebound’s offerings are tailored to promote transparency, efficiency, and sustainability in the recycling process.

Founder and General Manager Maryam Al Mansoori emphasized the platform’s impact, stating, “Rebound is more than a marketplace; it represents a revolution in global recycling. Our solution, built on local insights and international expertise, empowers the industry to meet sustainability demands while supporting the UAE’s net-zero goals.”

The launch comes as the UAE’s recycling market, particularly in plastics, is set to grow significantly, with projections estimating it will reach 1.44 million tonnes by 2030. Rebound’s initiative aligns with national strategies such as the UAE Green Agenda 2030 and the Integrated Waste Management Strategy 2021-2041, positioning the platform as a key player in advancing sustainable waste management.
