Parksons Packaging expands fleet with Koenig & Bauer’s Rapida 105 at drupa

Executives from Parksons Packaging, Koenig & Bauer Sheetfed, and Indo Polygraph gather after signing a contract at the Koenig & Bauer drupa stand.

Parksons Packaging, a prominent player in India’s printing industry, has made another significant investment in sheetfed offset technology from Koenig & Bauer during the drupa exhibition. The company, known for its extensive Rapida printer fleet, has ordered a Rapida 105 with seven inking units, coater, and extended delivery, which will be stationed at MK Print Pack, a subsidiary of the Parksons Group located in Daman.

This new addition to Parksons Packaging’s arsenal will be a versatile press, combining conventional and UV printing capabilities. It boasts features such as foil converting, flexible dryer equipment, advanced measuring and control technology, and non-stop equipment in the delivery section, specifically tailored for packaging production.

With this purchase, Parksons Packaging continues to expand its already substantial fleet of Koenig & Bauer presses. The company currently operates more than 150 printing and finishing units across 21 presses. Its footprint extends beyond India, with operations in 13 production sites across the subcontinent and a plant in Tanzania. Notably, a similar seven-color Rapida 105 with a coater was recently installed in Tanzania just before the drupa exhibition.

Owner and President of Parksons Packaging, Ramesh Kejriwal, emphasized the pivotal role that Rapida presses play in the company’s growth trajectory, stating, “The Rapida presses are the foundation of our extraordinary growth. They make us uniquely efficient.” This investment reaffirms Parksons Packaging’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive efficiency and productivity in its operations.
