Saudi firm’s investment provides compatibility with Adobe CC 17 and Mac OS Sierra
Ksa Riyadh-based Obeikan Graphic Center (OGC) has upgraded its Esko software to the latest Suite 16, which brings compatibility with Adobe CC 17 and Mac OS Sierra and fixes various bugs.
The DeskPack tools bring in additional barcode specs for GS1 among many more feature enhancements. The new search tool within Adobe Illustrator helps customers search for their jobs on the Automation Engine server. Other Esko editors now support PDF 2.0 and compatibility with Windows 10.
Automation Engine has a new set of tools for automated QC check using Global Vision Technology. The Connect moduleprovides access to cloud storage access points for downloading files and managing Kongsberg and CDI devices. It also provides support for PitStop 13.2 and other added features
The new Imaging Engine is based on the Adobe Print Engine and has automated corrections during the imaging to meet the requirement of the end application. It provides content, contract, and composite unscreened proofing options and unique ID for plate LEN and various other UX improvements.
The new WebCenter has a completely new use experience. Java applets are no longer required, replaced by HTML5
alternatives. The deployment is simplified and has improved performance and scalability, claims Esko.
Part of the Obeikan Investment Group, OGC has the high end rotogravure cylinder preparation, with capacity ofmore than 1,000 cylinders and flexo plate making. OGC caters to its group companies, as well as external customer and has nondisclosure agreements to ensure that its external customers are comfortable with their customer accounts and artworks.
