Novatex Limited, a Pakistan-based company, has installed its third metallizer from BOBST, the EXPERT K5 3300mm, in its factory earlier this year. This purchase continues the partnership between Novatex and BOBST, which began in 2011 with the acquisition of their first machine.
The new EXPERT K5 joins another of its kind, purchased in 2017 shortly after the model’s launch. Novatex has expressed satisfaction with their initial EXPERT K5, which features BOBST innovations such as AluBond, AlOx, a high-rate source, and a 700mm coating drum, the largest in the industry.
The latest machine, with its wider width, enhances Novatex’s production capacity to meet growing market demand. The EXPERT K5, known for its high productivity and low production costs, is designed to handle large diameters at high speeds, producing virtually wrinkle-free film.
Director of Novatex Limited, Mr. Altaf Bilwani, commented, “We started working with BOBST 13 years ago. Our first machine was a K5000, followed by the EXPERT in 2017. We are very happy with both machines which are running well in our factory. When we needed to increase our capacity, it was never in doubt that we would once again purchase from BOBST. Established in 1991, Novatex Limited is part of the Gani & Tayub group, which has been operating since 1948. The company is a leading producer of polyester filament yarn, chips, and resin in Pakistan. Since 2012, Novatex has produced BOPET films under the brand name Krystofilms, becoming the largest producer of PET film in Pakistan. Their products are exported globally, including to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, New Zealand, and the Americas.
