Servo drive helps system set 10 knives in 55 seconds
dubaiNilpeter Middle East (stand E12) is presenting at GPP the ABG SRI (Slitter Rewinder Inspection), a new-generation label converting and finishing machine.
This range uses servo drive technology and PC/SPS-based control. Nilpeter claims the AutoSlit on SRI offers benefits including automatic scanning for the label positions and auto positioning of slitter knives via a fixed distance with the AutoSlit able to set 10 knives in 55 seconds.
The company will also launch PACKZ 4.0 from Belgium-based PACKZ. The native PDF editor works directly on PDF files without exporting. Features of the new PACKZ 4.0 include PACKZ Smart Ribbon and Palette Dock enable operators to create a work environment that gives faster access to standard and advanced prepress editing features.
PACKZ 4.0 increases secure editing and offers in the Analyze and Fix new options to check the contents of the PDF document: mixed barcode paints, distortion check, subset fonts check, size dependent or entire text black knockout, ICC profiles with the same name but different colour characteristics, screened objects, and much more.
Dimension Arrows and the Dimension Lines functionality adds fast and accurate dimensions to a flexible packaging design, label or folding carton by using page dimensions, reference objects or bag type presets.
