Neopac debutes new Polyfoil® Mono-Material Barrier Mini Tubes at CPhI Milan

Neopac’s new Polyfoil® MMB Mini tubes offer eco-friendly, high-barrier packaging for sensitive products.

Neopac, a provider of packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical, beauty, and oral care industries, will showcase its new Polyfoil® Mono-Material Barrier (MMB) Mini tubes at CPhI Milan, taking place from October 8-10. The new tubes, now available in diameters ranging from 13.5mm to 16mm, expand the company’s portfolio of high-barrier, mono-material packaging solutions.

The Polyfoil® MMB Mini tubes offer an alternative to traditional aluminum packaging, designed for products requiring robust barrier properties, such as pharmaceuticals, dental, and ophthalmic products. The tubes ensure the integrity and shelf life of sensitive medications through an excellent oxygen transmission rate (OTR) barrier and are compatible with a variety of products.

“These tubes reflect our commitment to providing innovative packaging that balances product protection with sustainability,” said Martina Christiansen, Director of Sales Tubes at Neopac. “They are designed to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly packaging without compromising on performance.”

The new mini tubes offer several advantages, including a sleek metallic finish, 360-degree offset printing, and hot foil stamping. They retain their shape throughout use, with legible printing until emptied. Available with a range of closures, the tubes can be equipped with tamper-evident features or child-resistant options, and a dropper insert is available for liquid formulations.

In addition to their technical benefits, the Polyfoil® MMB Mini tubes have a reduced environmental impact. Compared to traditional Polyfoil® aluminum barrier tubes, they have a lighter weight and lower CO₂ footprint. Produced at Neopac’s ISCC+ certified facility in Oberdiessbach, Switzerland, the tubes are manufactured using clean energy sources such as hydroelectric and solar power.

The new packaging solution complies with both food and pharmaceutical packaging regulations, reinforcing Neopac’s focus on sustainability and regulatory compliance.
