Kiki Chosid, Regional Vice President of Sales, highlighted the customer-driven development process, stating, “Our customers needed flexible dies specifically engineered for today’s materials, including thinner liners, abrasive materials, and the increasing complexity of cutting patterns.” The new flexible die portfolio is designed to meet these needs with improved blade consistency and enhanced die longevity, particularly when converting abrasive materials and inks.
The portfolio includes several specialized die series. The SmartFlex series has been re-engineered for improved performance in paper and film applications. The Prime Series offers greater versatility and longevity across a wider range of materials, while the Dura Series is designed for high precision and durability in handling complex film and abrasive applications. Specialty dies like the GoldLine Special and MicroBlade are tailored for thin film liners and intricate spacing applications, respectively.
RotoMetrics has also implemented advancements in its manufacturing processes. Enhanced automation has led to a 25-30% improvement in manufacturing consistency, minimizing deviations in total plate height and blade flatness. The company has optimized its chroming processes to extend die life, with exclusive coatings that can triple die longevity depending on the material.
The new portfolio is supported by RotoMetrics’ global network, offering same-day and next-day shipping from six manufacturing facilities. The company also provides a comprehensive range of complementary products and services, including magnetic cylinders and adjustable anvils, all designed to work seamlessly together.
