Masafi, a leading bottled water brand in the UAE, has unveiled special-edition packaging for Ramadan, created in collaboration with Emirati artist Mariam Abbas. The design, featured on both Masafi’s water and tissue products, celebrates the UAE’s cultural heritage while reflecting the values of resilience, unity, and tradition.
The artwork incorporates iconic Emirati symbols, including the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the Together sculpture in Downtown Dubai, and traditional water pitchers used for cooling and storing water. The design also includes elements tied to the holy month, such as the Sidr plant, which thrives in the desert, and an Iftar cannon inspired by traditions in Umm Al Quwain.
Saood Al Ghurair, CEO and Vice Chairman of Masafi, explained, “This Ramadan, we wanted to infuse our product offerings with the stories that made both us and this nation. We wanted to tell the story of our great culture. Mariam Abbas’ art is a commentary on our traditions and a reflection of who we were, and who we will be in the future.”
Masafi, established in 1977, has long been a cornerstone of the UAE’s bottled water industry, with a brand identity that combines quality, authenticity, and a deep connection to the country’s heritage. Earlier this year, the company refreshed its visual identity, embracing a modern, youthful aesthetic while remaining committed to tradition.
The limited-edition packaging is available throughout the UAE for the Ramadan season, blending the past with Masafi’s renewed focus on sustainability and contemporary design.
