In a recent exclusive interview with Ben Daniel, Editor of Packaging MEA, Diego Liz, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of M-TEX NS, revealed the company’s strategic initiatives aimed at broadening its presence in the MEA region.

M-TEX NS, a prominent Portuguese manufacturer specializing in digital printing machines, has appointed new distributors for UAE and Kuwait. While Juma Al Majid will handle distribution across the Emirates, Al Mulla Office Automation Solutionswill handle Kuwait.

“M-TEX NS is renowned for its precision in manufacturing digital printing machines for labeling, packaging, and textiles,” remarked Diego Liz.

Among M-TEX NS’s offerings, the NS Multi 800 printer, bearing the abbreviation NS for new solutions, emerges as a notable product poised to redefine printing solutions with its versatility, the printer is capable of addressing applications including corrugated board printing, pizza box creation, and paper bag production.

It’s worth noting that while it excels in handling cardboard, its width capacity is slightly smaller compared to the Multi 1300 model. Nonetheless, the Multi 800 offers remarkable versatility, complemented by the ability to raise the print heads up to 20cms, a feature of great significance.

Utilizing water-based inks, the NS Multi 800 is particularly suitable for food packaging applications. Moreover, the printer boasts full automation, managing tasks from initial feeding to printing and final sticker application.
“The Multi 1300 utilizes water-based inks,” clarified Liz. “This single-pass technology employs inks specifically certified for indirect food contact, making it indispensable for the food industry.”

M-TEX NS also offers the NS Multi 1300 printer, tailored for printing on corrugated cardboard. Like its counterpart, the Multi 1300 allows for adjustment of print heads, albeit up to 5cms. “Similar to the 20-centimetre raise on the Multi 800 print heads, the Multi 1300 also permits raising the print heads, but up to 5cms,” noted Liz.
