Koenig & Bauer received the Best Folding Carton Case Study award at the 10th annual Digital Packaging Summit in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, in November 2024. The company presented a case study on digital printing and automation, highlighting the installation of the VariJET 106 from Koenig & Bauer Durst in Europe.
The presentation, delivered by Stephen Sanker, National Sales Director for Digital Web at Koenig & Bauer (US), and Sandra Wagner, Vice President Digitalization at Koenig & Bauer, focused on industrial digital printing technology, software, and solutions. “This is our second win in three years,” said Sanker. “We demonstrated how our digital portfolio, including the VariJET 106, RotaJET digital web-fed printing system, the myKyana digital ecosystem, and Connected Packaging solutions, can support converters in making strategic investment decisions.”
The three-day event featured discussions on digital solutions shaping the packaging industry. Wagner explored how digital printing is opening new opportunities for converters of all sizes. She emphasized Koenig & Bauer’s role in advancing technology to drive efficiency and customer engagement.
The company’s digital offerings include the RotaJET high-speed inkjet web press, designed for industrial production with broad substrate versatility and high image quality. The VariJET 106 combines digital and offset capabilities, offering hybrid printing solutions. The myKyana digital ecosystem provides real-time production data analysis to optimize decision-making.
“This summit provides strategic insights for industry leaders,” Wagner noted. “The strong response from attendees reinforces our approach to digital packaging solutions.”
