Koenig & Bauer (US) has announced a new partnership with Rigorous Technology, a robotics and technology company based in Williston, VT, to introduce a custom-built palletizer robot for the corrugated and folding carton markets. This innovation is designed to automate and streamline post-press operations, addressing labor shortages and improving efficiency in palletizing tasks.
The BOB Palletizer, developed by Rigorous Technology, is engineered for flexibility and ease of use, making it a suitable solution for corrugated and folding carton manufacturers. “We are committed to our partnership with Koenig & Bauer to help its customers become more efficient and competitive with advanced, user-friendly robotic solutions,” said Diane Abruzzini Riggs, COO and co-founder of Rigorous Technology. “BOB will provide a fast ROI, reduce labor challenges, and enhance speed and accuracy in the palletizing process.”
The BOB robotic palletizer is capable of handling all types of boxes, pallets, and stacking patterns, whether used with or without an auto packer. It can be easily integrated with Koenig & Bauer’s folder gluers, allowing operators to quickly start new jobs through its intuitive human-machine interface (HMI). The system is designed for optimal speed and service life, with easy installation and factory testing.
