Koenig & Bauer Durst, in collaboration with Durst and Koenig & Bauer, showcased a range of innovative packaging solutions at SuperCorrExpo 2024, held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, USA. The companies highlighted their commitment to addressing the evolving needs of the corrugated packaging market, with a focus on both digital and hybrid printing technologies.
A key feature of the exhibition was the Delta SPC 130 Core, a new entry-level industrial production single-pass press. This press is designed to help converters transition to digital printing or upgrade from existing systems. The Delta SPC 130 Core is suited for corrugated box plants, offering impressive performance with production volumes ranging from 32 to 54 million square feet annually. It prints up to 295 square feet per minute on uncoated boards, providing a cost-effective solution for the corrugated packaging sector.
The event also showcased Durst’s P5 Super Multi-Pass Printer, a high-volume LED hybrid solution that is ideal for corrugated packaging applications. The P5 250 WT, a key example, is equipped with Durst’s Water Technology, enabling printing on both roll and sheet materials with high-quality, odorless inks.
Daniel Velema, Managing Director of Koenig & Bauer Durst, emphasized the growing role of digital printing in the corrugated packaging industry, stating, “Digital printing can and will play an ever-increasing role, complementing and optimizing existing printing infrastructure.”
SuperCorrExpo 2024 provided a platform for Koenig & Bauer Durst and its partners to engage with the corrugated packaging industry, share new technological developments, and strengthen relationships with customers.
