Kodak has picked BCZ to distribute its offset press portfolio in Algeria.
BCZ will offer prepress equipment such as platesetters and processing line equipment along with proofing solutions, production and portal workflow solutions and prepress consumables including digital plates and prepress chemistry.
Products represented by BCZ will include Trendsetter platesetters, Achieve platesetters, Sonora XP process free plates, Electra XD thermal plates and Violet Print digital plates as well as Kodak Prinergy Connect Workflow.
All these were jointly unveiled in Algeria at the Algiers Expo on 6-8 April. An open house is also set to be held before the summer.
BCZ supplies sheetfed and web offset, flexo and digital printing and packaging solutions including plates, inks, chemicals, paper, adhesives and coatings.
The company recently established a division for prepress equipment distribution, and it will offer advice and solutions for offset printers and trade shops throughout the country, as well as support existing Kodak sales and service partner Sopromin, which works with flexo printers and trade shops.
Komal Sharma, managing director for the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Eastern Europe at Kodak, said: “The graphics arts market is ever changing and Kodak believes that working with BCZ will enable it to continue to offer customers the best support possible. The partnership will also mean we will be able to offer greater professional support and advice to Algerian operations aiming to take their business to the next level.”
Mahmoud Benamar, owner and managing director of BCZ, said: “Algeria is a strongly developing market where printers are now actively adopting CTP and focusing on workflow automation, colour management, and the streamlining of production processes. We are pleased to be able to help them make this transition with Kodak’s portfolio of solutions.”
