At Metpack, on 6-10 May, IST METZ will showcase its BLK series for metal decorating (booth 1-F18).
BLK represents “remarkable progress” in drying performance from conventional UV systems, according to IST METZ.
As improved drying is achieved without raising UV lamp output, the system increases productivity while lowering operating costs, said the company.
In metal decorating, two types of reflector can be used in the UV units. Depending on the product’s requirements, the customer can choose either a warmer (URS-A) or a cooler (URS) system. Inlay technology facilitates a quick change of the reflectors, minimising maintenance times.
The BLK series combines a water-cooled support and reflector profile, which reduces the amount of exhaust air. The solid cross-section enables lengths of up to 2,300mm to be achieved. Due to its compact design, the UV dryer can be integrated into the machine and the dryers remain easily accessible for maintenance purposes.
The IST UV Online Sensor for measuring UV radiation efficiency and the IPS control system are options with the system.
