Iconic Woodacity® 2.0: Aptar Beauty and Quadpack’s revamped wood-finished refillable lipstick

Aptar Beauty and Quadpack have introduced the updated Iconic Woodacity® 2.0 refillable lipstick, building on their successful collaboration from the previous year. The revamped product enhances sustainability and user experience by integrating new wood finishes and an innovative closure system.

 

The Iconic Woodacity® 2.0 combines Aptar’s advanced Iconic mechanism with Quadpack’s custom wooden casing. This edition offers a selection of wood types, including ash and maple, sourced from sustainably managed European forests. The casing can be customized with various designs and decorations. Denisa Stircea, Senior Category Lead at Quadpack, noted, “Wood is all about emotions. Ash is a light-coloured wood with a straight grain. Maple can be very smooth and shiny.”

 

A key feature of the new version is the Solo Snap closure system, which allows users to open and close the lipstick with a simple click. This patented mechanism, designed without plastic inserts, provides a traditional lipstick experience with a contemporary twist. Patrick Bousquel, Marketing Director Beauty EMEA at Aptar Beauty, commented, “The opening experience is perfectly adapted to this lipstick, while keeping the monomaterial and refillable features of the product.”

 

Manufactured at Aptar Beauty’s Chavanod facility in France and Quadpack Wood’s Catalonia plant in Spain, the Iconic Woodacity® 2.0 is produced entirely in Europe. The mechanism is free of POM, glue, and lubricants, ensuring a smooth operation. Refills are easily managed by removing the old mechanism and inserting a new one.
