Greiner Packaging and Constantia Flexibles have collaborated to launch a fully home compostable coffee capsule solution. Greiner Packaging produces the capsule body, while Constantia Flexibles provides the lid, EcoPressoLid. This development offers a sustainable option for coffee suppliers prioritizing convenience and environmental responsibility.
The capsule body, created by Greiner Packaging, maintains coffee freshness and is compatible with standard coffee capsule machines. This product aims to provide consumers with a sustainable choice without sacrificing quality or convenience, supporting a circular economy by reducing waste and environmental impact.

Constantia Flexibles’ EcoPressoLid offers high oxygen barrier properties, excellent sealing for compostable coffee capsules, and superior coffee brewing performance. It is compatible with commonly used capsule filling and sealing machines. The EcoPressoLid, which is paper-based, can seal both the top and bottom of the capsules. Together, the capsule body and lid have received the “OK Compost Home” certification from TÜV Austria.
