Gallus revolutionizes label printing with Gallus One’s ‘System to Compose’ at drupa 2024

Revolutionizing label printing: Gallus One’s modular design offers unprecedented flexibility for converters.

Gallus Group, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG), has introduced its latest offering, Gallus One, at drupa 2024. The highlight of this release is the introduction of the “System to Compose,” a concept aimed at enhancing adaptability and long-term security for printers and converters in the label printing industry.

The Gallus One has been upgraded to offer a print width of 430mm, up from its previous limit of 340mm. This enhancement is expected to improve production efficiency, versatility, and application opportunities, thus opening up new revenue streams for converters.

One of the key features of the Gallus One is its enhanced color gamut, achieved through the introduction of Orange and Violet inks developed jointly with HEIDELBERG. These inks are designed to help converters achieve better shelf standout for brand differentiation.

“The new extension possibilities of the Gallus One provide our customers with the opportunity to grow their solutions, adapt, and facilitate change in line with customer demand, enabling them to future-proof their investments,” said Dario Urbinati, CEO of Gallus Group.

The “System to Compose” concept aims to address the evolving needs of the market by providing full adaptability across Gallus’ product lines. This allows additional units to be seamlessly integrated, removed, or replaced, providing label printers with more options and flexibility in their printing processes.

The Gallus One also supports the smart, connected printing methodology, offering a significant advancement for the labels industry. It allows converters to mix and match units, extend configurations over time, and retrofit existing machine setups, providing a versatile and adaptable solution for label converters worldwide.
