Gallus Group, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG), is celebrating its 100th anniversary by opening the doors to a brand-new industry hub in St. Gallen, Switzerland – the Gallus Experience Center. The center, designed as an industry touchpoint, aims to accelerate innovation and foster long-term success and growth within the label printing industry. As part of the centenary celebrations, Gallus is also unveiling three new products: the HEIDELBERG Customer Portal, the Gallus One with Converting, and a digital upgrade for the Gallus ECS 340. To cover this momentous occasion, team Packaging MEA is present at the Gallus Group’s 100th-anniversary celebrations in Switzerland. They will be reporting live for the rest of the Gallus Days, capturing the highlights and announcements of the event.
With the 100-year milestone also marking its official opening, the landmark Gallus Experience Center welcomes customers and prospects from some of the world’s leading printers and converters, as well as partners and brand owners, during the company’s ‘Gallus Experience Days.’ The facility features conventional, hybrid, and digital Gallus products, software solutions, cloud-based innovations, next-generation machines, and supplier partner technologies. Gallus aims to provide a platform where ideas can be explored, technologies can be tested, and a technological ecosystem can be experienced.
“As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gallus, HEIDELBERG is delighted to stand alongside the Gallus team this week – united, as one Group. Together, we are even stronger and have a robust growth plan looking ahead,” comments Dr. Ludwin Monz, CEO, HEIDELBERG. “With labels and packaging now representing 50 percent of the Group’s total sales, the new digital and automated solutions introduced by Gallus today play an important role in the future of HEIDELBERG. As a result, Gallus is an important pillar within the company’s growth strategy, and we’re more committed than ever to its long-term future.”
To further drive the labels and packaging ‘digital transformation’ and help solve current labour shortages and increases in costs, Gallus is today also unveiling a revolutionary new HEIDELBERG Customer Portal (HCP) that automates almost every customer touchpoint. The HCP is expected to save customers, on average, up to 35 percent in both time and money. Additionally, Gallus introduces the Gallus One with Converting, which provides inline flexo and die-cutting capabilities, delivering ultimate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) advantages. Moreover, the company is offering a digital upgrade to the Gallus ECS 340, enabling customers to transform it into a Gallus Labelfire 340 hybrid press without additional platform investment.
The new Gallus products being launched are the result of a comprehensive consultation process with customers and brands. After discovering that the next generation of retail consumers engages with the world in a completely different way, Gallus rewrote its vision and mission statements to support a new business direction. The company aims to modernize the labels and packaging industry, leveraging new technologies to inspire and engage future generations.
