Fujifilm Dimatix, a leading manufacturer of industrial inkjet printheads, announced the introduction of the Fujifilm Dimatix SKYFIRE® SF600 printhead at drupa 2024, the world’s leading printing trade fair.
High Performance and Versatility for Demanding Applications
The SKYFIRE SF600 leverages Fujifilm Dimatix’s proven silicon Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (Si-MEMS) fabrication techniques. This next-generation printhead offers high productivity and a versatile single-pass or scanning solution for various demanding applications.
“Our customers require printheads that can handle a wide range of inks, print at high speeds, and deliver exceptional quality and durability,” said Steve Billow, President & CEO of Fujifilm Dimatix. “The SKYFIRE SF600 embodies these features and reflects our commitment to continuous innovation. It provides reliable, high-quality printing to boost productivity across diverse applications.”
Key Features of the Fujifilm Dimatix SKYFIRE SF600
Performance: Delivers 600DPI resolution with a 5-25pL drop size range and a nozzle layout enabling high throw distance for broad application suitability. Integrated features like a trimming heater, temperature sensor, and REDIJET® coating ensure consistent output with aqueous and UV inks.
Productivity: Features a high-speed jet design with REDIJET elements incorporating noise dampening technology and dual recirculation for reliable high-speed jetting. The printhead can jet 11 grams of ink per square meter per color at over 130 meters per minute with four grayscale levels. OEMs benefit from versadrop open waveform editing capability for application-specific tuning.
Durability: Utilizes Fujifilm Dimatix’s sputtered PZT material rated for trillions of actuations and REDIJET coatings for reliable jetting of various inks commonly used in large single-pass and scanning printing systems.
Support: Fujifilm Dimatix offers a dedicated global field organization for exceptional customer support throughout product development.
Early Adoption and Demonstration at drupa
Several OEMs are already testing and deploying the SKYFIRE SF600 across various industries. One such early adopter is Shenzhen KINGT Technology Co., Ltd (KingT), a digital inkjet printing solution provider showcasing the printhead in its newly introduced KGT-2513-Hi flatbed printer. Visitors can see KINGT’s products and samples printed using Fujifilm Dimatix printheads at booth B03 (Hall 8a) at drupa.
