Flint Group, a global provider of inks and coatings for the printing and packaging sectors, has attained significant milestones in its sustainability efforts by receiving B grades in both Climate Change and Water Security disclosures from CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project). This achievement reflects the company’s commitment to transparency and sustainable practices.
CDP, a non-profit organization that evaluates businesses on their environmental reporting, scores from “D-” to “A”. A “B” grade indicates that the company has addressed its environmental impacts, while an “A” grade signifies leadership and best practices. Flint Group earned an A grade for Scope 1 & 2 emissions and an A- grade for Scope 3 emissions under the Climate Change criteria. For Water Security, the company scored an A in Business Impacts and an A- in Water Policy.
Matthew Rowland-Jones, Sustainability Officer at Flint Group, stated, “Our positive rating is a testament to the work of our global team in minimizing the environmental footprint and conserving water resources. This underscores our commitment to transparent reporting and environmental management.”
Rowland-Jones also highlighted Flint Group’s PRISM framework, which integrates sustainability into the company’s operations through People, Products, and Planet. “We aspire to be a trusted partner in sustainability, supporting our customers’ goals and working towards our 2030 targets, which include a 46% reduction in emissions and a 5% reduction in water use,” he added.
By achieving these grades, Flint Group joins other leading businesses in promoting environmental action through clear and transparent reporting.
