Esko and HP have announced a partnership to deliver an integrated solution for digitally printed packaging production. This collaboration aims to streamline and automate the packaging value chain, allowing for versioning, customization, and personalization at scale. The partnership is expected to assist brand owners in managing their packaging production more effectively and enable converters to produce customized packaging with less effort.
The integrated platform from Esko and HP will manage content and data across the value chain, facilitating collaboration on packaging projects and reducing lead times from months to weeks. Through an integrated web portal, brand owners will be able to order packages from converters on-demand, reducing delivery times from weeks to days, decreasing stocks, and reducing overall costs. The solution will provide enhanced visibility and control to brand owners and increase the press capacity of packaging converters.
At drupa, Esko and HP will showcase an integrated mass customization solution, enabling both customization “at scale” through automated artwork creation and personalization “at scale” through integrated workflow solutions, including ecommerce portals. This solution will allow brand owners to create more versions, more customization, and enhance consumer engagement.
Joël Depernet, President of Esko, stated, “The new integrated solution leverages the Esko suite of packaging tools and the HP PrintOS Suite, seamlessly connecting third-party solutions into the production workflow. With the integration of HP Smartstream Designer and Composer in Esko WebCenter, customization and versioning of each new packaging project is within reach.”
Noam Zilbershtain, VP and General Manager of HP Indigo & Scitex, commented, “The new partnership between Esko and HP will help brand owners and converters make digital print production more efficient, and packaging customization to become a mainstream practice within the digital print landscape.”
The integrated solution will be demonstrated at drupa on the Esko and HP booths, as well as on the drupa touchpoint packaging booth.
