Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI) has showcased a range of innovative inkjet printing solutions for packaging, display graphics, and textiles at drupa 2024, taking place at Messe Düsseldorf from May 28 to June 7. Positioned in Hall 9, Stand A20-1, EFI presented new technologies that promise to set new industry standards.
Frank Pennisi, CEO of EFI, expressed excitement about the company’s return to drupa, stating, “Our return to drupa brings some of the most transformative announcements in EFI history.” He highlighted the launch of groundbreaking innovations, including the world’s first full-color, on-demand right-sized box system and true water-based single-pass inkjet technology for corrugated printing.
Among the key innovations showcased is the Packsize® EFI™ X5® Nozomi, described as the world’s first full-color, on-demand, right-sized box system. This system offers high-speed production of customized boxes with high-resolution graphics, revolutionizing the corrugated packaging industry.
EFI also announced the EFI Nozomi 14000 AQ, a true water-based, single-pass inkjet technology for corrugated packaging and displays. This innovation complies with stringent regulations and offers vibrant, high-quality, and eco-friendly printing for the industry.
Additionally, EFI unveiled the EFI Nozomi 12000 MP, a single-pass LED inkjet technology designed for direct-to-metal printing on metal, aluminum, and tinplate packaging. The company also introduced the EFI Nozomi 17000 SD, a single-pass LED inkjet printer for sign and display applications, offering high-speed production capabilities.
Another highlight is EFInsight™, a cloud-based intelligence system aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and total cost of ownership for EFI’s digital inkjet printing systems.
Visitors to EFI’s stand can also view existing solutions, including the EFI VUTEk Q3h XP, EFI Nozomi 14000 SD, EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340i+, and EFI Reggiani ecoTERRA, showcasing the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology.
