The 17th edition of the ArabPlast international trade fair will take place from January 7 to 9, 2025, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, will bring together over 750 exhibitors from 35 countries, with national pavilions representing more than 12 nations.
The fair will showcase innovations in plastics, recycling, petrochemicals, packaging, and rubber, highlighting solutions that drive the future of these industries in the region. Nadhal Mohamed Kadar, Exhibition Director of ArabPlast, emphasized the critical role of the Middle East, particularly the GCC, in the global plastics and petrochemicals market. “Dubai serves as the gateway to these thriving markets,” he said, adding that the region’s abundant natural resources play a key role in shaping global industry trends.
Kadar also noted the significance of the petrochemical sector, which contributes substantially to the GCC’s GDP, with combined revenues exceeding $100 billion.
Sadiq Al Lawati, Polymer Marketing Managing Director at OQ and Principal Sponsor of ArabPlast 2025, highlighted the fair’s role in presenting cutting-edge solutions in the region, noting its continuous support since 2019. “ArabPlast 2025 is crucial in advancing the concept of recycling and promoting sustainability across industries,” he stated.
The event will focus on the versatile and indispensable applications of plastics in sectors such as construction, food and beverage, aviation, automotive, healthcare, and sports, as the industry moves toward more sustainable practices.
