DS Smith has achieved a milestone by winning Procter & Gamble (P&G) Excellence Awards in both the Baby Care and Home Care packaging solutions categories. This year, DS Smith stood out as the first supplier to secure wins in two categories simultaneously, among only ten finalists globally.
The P&G Excellence Awards, held biennially, recognize outstanding suppliers through a rigorous evaluation process. Selection criteria include commercial performance, operations, innovation and sustainability, and citizenship. Winners are chosen based on a thorough assessment of quantitative and qualitative data, reflecting consistent excellence in supplier relationships.
Francesco van Westrenen, Global Customer Business Unit Director for DS Smith’s Packaging Division, remarked on the achievement: “We are thrilled to be recognised for excellence in not just one, but two business categories for sustainable fibre-based packaging solutions for both Feminine & Baby Care as well as Fabric & Home Care, and by two different procurement organizations within P&G.
