drupa 2024: Mondi to showcase sustainable premium papers for Luxury Packaging

Mondi to present sustainable premium papers for luxury packaging at drupa 2024.

Mondi will present its latest sustainable packaging and paper solutions at drupa 2024, focusing on its PERGRAPHICA®, IQ GRASS+ Packaging, and IQ Board brands. The company will exhibit at the touchpoint packaging (tpp) forum in Hall 3, Stand B31, highlighting sustainable design papers and trends in luxury packaging.

Mondi’s premium papers are tailored for luxurious packaging applications and personalization options, such as laser engraving. At tpp, Mondi will address sustainability issues, including deinkability, recyclability, and cradle-to-cradle certification, alongside consumer trends. Prototypes of luxury perfume packaging, developed with the NABA Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, will also be showcased.

Mondi’s PERGRAPHICA® brand offers a variety of design papers, including three shades of white with rough or smooth textures, Infinite Black, and 31 distinctive colors. The IQ GRASS+ Packaging paper features FSC®-certified fresh fibre pulp and up to 30% grass fibres, providing a natural appearance. The IQ Board is an uncoated virgin fibre premium paper, optimized for seamless processing in printing and finishing. These papers offer a tactile experience that is highly sought after in the premium packaging segment.

Bernhard Cantzler, Marketing & Sales Director at Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper, stated, “Through our diverse portfolio of sustainable and certified paper products, we help our customers build their print businesses in a volatile market environment. We are innovators and work in partnership with manufacturers.”

Mondi’s premium papers are produced in Austria from sustainably managed forests and meet the requirements of Cradle to Cradle Certified®, the EU Ecolabel, and FSC® standards.

The touchpoint packaging forum at drupa, one of five special forums, is an ideal platform for industry experts and brand owners to discuss key issues, network, and collaborate. Mondi will focus on two areas at tpp: Neo-Ecology/Sustainability and Consumer’s Mind, addressing topics such as reusing packaging, barriers for food packaging, recycling, and sustainable value chains.

Mondi will also present results from its collaboration with the NABA Academy of Fine Arts, showcasing luxury packaging designs for perfume bottles and insights into laser engraving.
