Matthijsstevens, Area sales manager, MPS

PACKAGINGMEA (PMEa): What advantages can the EF 430 offer over the competition?

Matthijsstevens (MS): at MPS we have separated the web transport from the printing part of the machine. This means that both processes do not interfere with each other or influence each other. as a result we have the most stable web tension and register in the market. Our, full servo, print heads can cope with substrates ranging from 15 to 450 microns without any adjustments.

The main feature for achieving this is our Crisp.dot technology. We have a freerunning, rubber-clad impression cylinder, which gives you less dot gain and perfect round dots. On top of that you need three to five times less pressure, ensuring a longer plate life and less print pressure errors. So overall this gives you a higher predictability.

all our machines are also designed to give the operator the highest ease of operation. as a press owner you shouldn’t worry about which operator is on shift today.

Wether it is a very experienced printer or an apprentice they will both be able to get the same quality out of the machine, over and over again.

When operators do not feel at ease behind the press it is very difficult to get a usable end product. This is why MPS machines are as open as possible to ensure the bestvisibility on the printing and the substrate. and with our i-control system everyone will be able to set the register within a machine length of waste.

PMEa: Why should label printers invest in presses from MPS rather than its rivals?
MS: at MPS we have a clear goal, to help our customers make money. Our presses are efficient, have a very high level of predictability, and have short setup time and low waste. Statistics also show that our machines consume fewer spare parts than the norm in our industry.

PMEa: What assurance can you give on service and support?
MS: MPS wants to be a brand with global reach but with a very strong local presence. To achieve this we are on a constant lookout for the best agents and distributors. The main asset they need to be contributing is a service organisation.

in the case of the uaE we are very happy that anoop Plastic Products chose to work with MPS as they are the most important name in the local market.

Through our agents we guarantee and a quick response to service calls and up-todate knowledge of the printing industry and printing applications.

Besides our local presence MPS has a team of in-house service engineers and a service desk with 24/7 remote access. We also employ several printing applications experts who visit our customers to teach them about the full potential of their MPS press.
