Huhtamaki’s 3D pouches are taking off in the Gulf

Dubai Huhtamaki Middle East is winning over regional customers with 3D flat-bottomed pouches, said Dharmesh Zavery, vice president for sales and business development.

 “Here in the Gulf region, consumers like the way this new technology has presented itself on the store shelf and also like how a zipper can be integrated into the package,” he told Packaging MEA.

“With the brand owners looking at options of having good shelf visibility and premium appearance for their products, the 3D or the flat-bottom format of packaged products have become the right choice.

“More and more brands are moving into this premium format. Huhtamaki MEA has been instrumental in successfully marketing this product into the Middle Eastern and African Markets. Keeping this end in mind, we have installed additional capacities with a lot of added features. The new features include added security, convenience and enhanced aesthetics. The new line has already been installed and already utilised.”
