Dubai-based Delta Printing Press has recently installed a Heidelberg CD 102 five-colour sheetfed offset carton press with inline coating.
The B1 format press is part of an investment to raise capacity and meet growing demand for carton print for packaging, said Sujit Vaidya, Group CEO, Delta Printing Press, Dubai.
“Besides this press, we have also invested in a carton sheeter and some upgrades and solutions on the prepress front,” he told Packaging MEA.
“The packaging market in the UAE is highly competitive, so making a mark and money is quite difficult. We have entered into packaging with a good capacity to back us and stressing on service and quality has helped us to set our feet in this field. As quite a few printers are shifting their focus into packaging, our decision to move into packaging bit early has really helped us.”
Since its inception in May 2005, Delta Group has grown to employ a staff of about 450 working on shift basis to serve a client base spanning the UAE, the Gulf, Africa and Europe.
