Delta Group has opened a 20,000m2 multi-service facility gathering its subsidiaries at Dubai’s National Industries Park and is poised to open a similarly sized plant at the freezone to launch corrugated packaging operations.
Delta Group has announced the inauguration of a AED200m multi-service facility that will host several of its subsidiaries.
Located in Dubai’s National Industries Park (NIP), the 20,000m2 facility will offer a comprehensive range of end-to-end solutions under one roof. This includes the Group’s flagship Delta Printing Press as well as Brandscape Advertising, Magic Screen, Pulp, Delta Labels and Delta Interiors. Equipped with the latest technology, the fully integrated facility is the first of its kind to be set up in NIP, according to Delta.
KabeerJalaluddin, chairman and managing director of Delta Group, has also announced that the group will shortly launch a new corrugated packaging arm: Delta Packaging Industries FZCO. This will also be based at NIP, where it will occupy a 20,000m2 site.

Established in the UAE in 2005, Delta Group comprises specialist subsidiaries to printing, labelling and interiors, Delta Group’s new facility is expected to redefine industry standards for integrated workflows.
Jalaluddin told Packaging MEA that, having come from the south Indian state of Kerala with just a graduation certificate from Kerala University and only 18,000 rupees, he had found the “land of opportunities” in Dubai.
“I am sure many people who have started business in this land will acknowledge my view,” he said.
“Above all, if we are successful in this country, we have to be thankful to the rulers of this country, late rulers, present rulers, and all the Emirati brothers of this country. They have got a magnanimous heart. They welcomed all of us over here, giving us security, safety, jobs. And along with us, this country has opened up opportunities to expatriates from over 200 countries giving all of us equal opportunities.”
The growth of corrugated packaging in the Gulf, dominated by processed food, gives bright prospects for Delta’s move into this space.
Market research analysts predict the global corrugated box packaging market will grow at a CAGR of about 5% during 2016–20, driven by e-commerce. Online retailers use different types of corrugated boxes based on the kind of product transported to protect products. Effective packaging is fast becoming a key business requirements in the e-commerce marketplace.
The growth of the processed food industry is also expected to contribute to market growth. Packaging of processed food requires securewith diverse client bases that extend to Africa and beyond. The group currently employs over 800 employees in the UAE. Over the years, Delta Group’s professionalism have earned it many andflexible packaging material, which is convenient to the customer and also ensures product safety. As consumers look for convenient, easy-to-use, and lightweight packaging, innovative paperboard packaging solutions are being developed by packaging manufacturers to tap the growing organised retail and processed food market.
