Abu Dhabi-based plastics and polyolefins supplier Borouge will open next year a sales office in New Delhi in India.
CEO Wim Roels told reporters at the Plastivision 2013 exhibition in Mumbai that the firm will be “close to our customers in northern India”.
“The fast growing Indian market is very important for our growth strategy,” he told Indian media.
“Since the early days of Borouge, we established a professional local team in Mumbai to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to our customers.”
Under its Borouge 3 expansion project, in 2014 the company aims to raise its Abu Dhabi plant’s manufacturing capacity to 4.5m tonnes per year to create the world’s largest integrated polyolefins plant.
