The 28th edition of Beautyworld Middle East, scheduled from October 28 to 30 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will showcase regional and international brands focused on sustainability and ethical practices in the beauty industry. Spread across 15 halls, this year’s event has expanded by 12% compared to 2023, hosting over 2,000 exhibitors, with 400 new participants.
The exhibition will highlight the growing consumer demand for eco-conscious products, with an emphasis on sustainable packaging, ethical sourcing, and transparent business practices. “We are witnessing a major shift toward cleaner, more conscious beauty products,” said Ravi Ramchandani, Show Manager. “Consumers now prefer brands that align with authentic values and demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.”
Middle East consumers are increasingly opting for products with eco-friendly formulations and sustainable packaging. Studies show the region’s high per capita spending on beauty and personal grooming, averaging $247 per person, with the clean beauty market in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) projected to reach $2.6 billion by 2025.
A significant driver of this trend is the region’s younger demographic, with 50% of the MENA population under 30. This generation prioritizes sustainability and is urging companies to adopt responsible practices.
The event’s Clean + Conscious section, located in Hall 7, will feature new exhibitors, including Malaysia’s Oon Natural, Sweden’s Xanella, and Italy’s Nesti Dante. Participating brands are expected to meet six key pillars: clean formulations, inclusivity, sustainable packaging, ethical sourcing, social impact, and transparency.
Beautyworld Middle East 2024 will also host the annual Beautyworld Awards, recognizing innovation within the industry. The awards will feature a “Conscious Brand of the Year” category, with finalists such as LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics and Le Rouge Français’s vegan lipstick, Alizarine. The winners will be announced on October 29 at the Conrad Dubai.
