ASHE Converting Equipment is set to make a significant impact at drupa 2024, introducing cutting-edge machinery and expanding its product portfolio for enhanced technology and automation.
A key highlight is the Sapphire S3 Duplex Slitter Rewinder, offering fully automated operation with minimal operator involvement. Its new unwind loading system automatically positions the unwind for master rolls, along with auto knife and rewind core positioning, reducing manual intervention.
The Sapphire S3 also introduces a linear layon concept, which allows for automation by moving each layon roller on its own independent carriage linearly away from the rewind shaft. This innovative technology enables easy integration of automatic cross-cutting mechanisms and tape applicators, streamlining the finishing process.
In addition to the Sapphire S3, ASHE will also showcase the Diamond Duplex Turret Slitter Rewinder, featuring a compact design with a duplex turret rewind to 600mm (24”) diameter. The machine is designed for ease of installation and features an integrated shaftless unwind stand with electric roll lift, edge guider, and razor and shear slitting systems.
Another highlight is the Solitaire Mid Web Slitter Rewinder, designed for mid-web applications and available in widths between 400mm to 1000mm. This machine is suitable for all filmic and pressure-sensitive applications and features automatic laser indicators for ease of knife setting and rewind core positioning.
ASHE will also showcase the Opal OLT Offline Turret Rewinder For Self-Adhesive Labels, offering maximum finishing efficiency with its patented cut and transfer system. Additionally, the Opal ISR 100% Inspection Slitter Rewinder will be on display, featuring a camera-based inspection system for inspecting 100% of the print.
