ArabPlast 2025 concluded on a high note earlier last month, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for industrial innovation and sustainability. Held under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, the 17th edition gathered over 750 exhibitors from 35 countries, with 12 dedicated national pavilions.

The premier trade fair, hosted at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, provided a platform for industry stakeholders to explore the latest advancements in plastics, recycling, petrochemicals, packaging, and rubber. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and the circular economy, ArabPlast 2025 underscored the Middle East’s growing role in shaping the future of global manufacturing.

“The Middle East, particularly the GCC, plays a crucial role in the global plastics and petrochemicals industry,” said Nadhal Mohamed Kadar, Exhibition Director of ArabPlast. “Hosting ArabPlast in Dubai highlights the region’s leadership in innovation and sustainability.”

Industry leaders from Austria, China, Germany, India, South Korea, and the GCC showcased transformative technologies designed to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The petrochemical sector, a major economic driver in the Gulf region with combined revenues exceeding $100 billion, was a focal point of discussion.

Saudi Arabia remains the region’s top producer, while the UAE, home to industry giants such as Borouge, contributes 8.5% of global petrochemical output. Key exhibitors, including OQ, KEZAD, Astra Polymers, Ecopolymers, Tasnee, and Advanced Petrochemical Company, presented groundbreaking solutions aligned with circular economy principles.

As sustainability takes center stage in industrial manufacturing, recycling has emerged as a key growth area, with forecasts predicting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.3% by 2026. Leading exhibitors showcased cutting-edge recycling technologies, reinforcing the industry’s shift toward sustainable practices.
