High-quality labels distinguish the product, claimed to offer a smoother, creamier taste
KSA Almarai has launched its new product Baladi Laban in the Saudi Arabian market, the product has been formulated to take the laban drinking experience into a more premium level.
Made from 100% fresh cow’s milk, mixed with 5.1% fat and using selected cultures ‘Almarai Baladi Laban’ is described as a premium indulgent laban with a smoother and creamier taste.
Very special graphics and high-quality gravure printed labels with special colours and effect have been used to label the iconic HDPE bottles for this new product.
“It’s a premium product and we had to select the label printer carefully to get the print quality as desired,” said Kaunain Shahidi, packaging purchase manager.
“There are couple of good printers in the region which can deliver the high quality of printed labels for such applications but the shift from gravure to high-definition flexo printed labels is desired to match the expected quality and at the same time make the printed materials cost effective.”
Established in Riyadh in 1977 as a partnership between the Irish agri-foods pioneer Alastair McGuckian, his brother Paddy, and Prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer, Almarai has grown to become the largest vertically integrated dairy company in the Middle East.
