The AFMASS Food Expo Eastern Africa, a prominent trade show for food, consumer goods, hospitality, and retail industries, will return for its 2024 edition from June 12-14 at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. This event is a key gathering for industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to explore new technologies, investment opportunities, and challenges facing the food sector in Africa.
Since its launch in 2015, the AFMASS Food Expo has become a crucial platform for sourcing the latest technologies and food products, discovering investment opportunities, and exploring market trends in Africa’s food and agriculture industry. The 2024 edition will feature eight special sections, showcasing solutions in packaging, ingredients, milling and baking technologies, dairy manufacturing, meat, poultry, fish, fresh produce, and beverages.
The Expo will offer a comprehensive program, including an Expo Hall, a High-level Conference, and Networking Opportunities. The Expo Hall will feature the latest packaged food products, equipment, ingredients, packaging solutions, logistics services, and more, tailored to Africa’s food industry.
Francis Juma, Founder & CEO of FW Africa Events, the organizer, expressed excitement about the increased interest in this year’s trade show. “We are very excited with the increased pace of bookings for this year’s trade show compared to past editions,” he said. “We are especially excited to see strong interest from global leaders in ingredients solutions, milling and processing technologies, and storage and supply chain solutions.”
The event is supported by sponsors such as Buhler, Freddy Hirsch, Broadway, and Bakex Millers, and features exhibitors including Makenas, Altinbilek, Bastak, Ingredion, Doehler, PIL, React Cert, Sorela, Sai Raj, Techpak, DPL Festive, BMPE, and Chemital.
In addition to the Expo Hall, the event will host an industry conference focusing on food manufacturing and retail, innovations, and sustainability in various sectors. Discussions will cover market trends, investment opportunities, sustainability practices, and strategies for accessing trade and market opportunities in Africa’s food industry.
Attendees can also engage in productive business networking with food processors, traders, distributors, retailers, government agencies, technology suppliers, and other stakeholders. This networking aspect is crucial for forging connections, exploring partnerships, and staying updated with industry trends.
