Core Linerless labels – a system developed by Ritrama, Prati and ILTI – is now being promoted through its own dedicated website.
Core is being marketed as increasing the efficiency of the press set-up and printing process, while bringing considerable savings in cost and time.
In the new process, a self-adhesive Ritrama film, consisting of a thin PP on a siliconised filmic liner, at least 50% thinner than a standard PSA material, is transformed on a dedicated Prati machine into a single ply linerless web, ready to be dispensed with a special linerless module.
The solution avoids inline die-cutting, so the press can run at full speed, and dispenses with over-varnishing or over-laminating as the print is encapsulated.
Twice as many labels can be produced on a roll compared with standard PSA, claims Ritrama.
Matrix waste is also eliminated while press time is halved, according to the solution’s developers.
Core Linerless Solution debuted at Labelexpo Europe and now features at this website.
