Kimoha Entrepreneurs Limited, a specialist in self-adhesive labels and Auto ID solutions, hosted officials from the Jafza freezone at its 25th anniversary celebration.Kimoha was established in 1988 in Jafza, where the company started from a modest 18sqm office in an office buildings with just three people.
In 1989, Kimoha started producing fax and telex rolls at a 500sqm light industrial unit in Jafza. In 2011, the company then built and moved to a 20,000sqm headquarters in Jafza South.
Over 25 years of its operations, Kimoha has seen a 60-fold growth in its facilities, increasing from about 500sqm in 1989 to over 30,000sqm in 2013.
Meanwhile, the firm’s headcount has risen to 240, while its capital assets now top AED100m, according to the firm.
Kimoha’s products extend from paper rolls to self-adhesive labels, baggage tags and airline boarding passes.
Salma Ali Saif Bin Hareb, CEO of Economic Zones World (EZW), the parent company of Jafza, described Kimoha as “a key pillar of this vibrant community”.
“Their innovative and flexible approach has helped them achieve such a fast and sustained growth during good and not so good economic times,” she said.
The ceremony was attended by HE Salma Ali Saif Bin Hareb, along with Ibrahim Al Janahi, Dy. CEO of Jafza and CCO of EZW, and Kiran Asher, chairman of Kimoha Group, and Vinesh K Bhimani, Kimoha’s managing director.
