Kuwait: The Equate Group has launched Elevate programme within the Group’s company, taking its employee equality and diversity initiative to new heights.
Dr Ramesh Ramachandran, Equate CEO and president sponsored the programme and the EQUATE management team endorsed it as part of the Equate’s continued investment in its human capital as a driver for its sustain- ability strategy, which aligns with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the New Kuwait 2035 vision.
The programme was launched on International Women’s Day, 8 March and provided all global employees with the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the women in their lives and the women of Equate.
The Equate Group is a global producer of petrochemicals and the world’s second largest producer of ethylene glycol (EG). The Group owns and operates industrial complexes in Kuwait, North America and Europe that annually produce over six million tonnes of ethylene, EG, polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), styrene monomer (SM), paraxylene (PX), heavy aromatics (HA) and benzene (BZ). Elevate’s goal is to identify opportunities and encouraging a better understanding to the contribution of a sound diversity policy generates ideas, conversations, said, Dr Abeer Al-Omar, Equate’s senior executive for corporate communications and government affairs. “We are reaffirming our commitment to equality and diversity within our group and will be sharing our learnings with our communities, which can lead to greater mobility and prosperity in line with the overall business objectives.”
