Rasasi unveils Riyaz Kalsekar Signature Fragrance, reflecting his vision and brand legacy with elegant grey and blue design

In an exclusive interview with Ben Daniel, Chief Editor of Packaging MEA, Riyaz Kalsekar, Managing Director of Rasasi Perfumes, shared insights into the launch of the Riyaz Kalsekar Signature Fragrance at Beautyworld Middle East 2024. The event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, marked the unveiling of a fragrance that blends Kalsekar’s personal legacy with Rasasi’s innovative approach to perfume-making.

 

The Riyaz Kalsekar Signature Fragrance, named after the company’s co-founder, embodies a blend of craftsmanship and personal passion. Developed over six months, the fragrance is intended to resonate as an emotional statement and an Riyaz Kalsekar, Managing Director of Rasasi Perfumes, showcases his signature fragrance at Beautyworld Middle East 2024 identity. Kalsekar described perfume as “nothing but emotion,” emphasizing its role in creating lasting impressions.

 

Packaging played a central role in the fragrance’s introduction. Featuring a sophisticated grey and blue color palette, the design reflects Kalsekar’s personal preferences and Rasasi’s legacy. Blue, a recurring theme in the brand’s history, is also a nod to Rasasi’s iconic products such as Blue Lady and Blue for Men. “Packaging contributes significantly to a perfume’s appeal,” Kalsekar noted, describing it as 20% of the product’s success, with the fragrance itself making up the rest.

 

Rasasi, established in 1980, continues to innovate in both the luxury and mass-market segments. The company has launched over 300 products this year alone and is planning an additional 500 releases by 2025, underscoring its expansive vision for the future.

 

With Beautyworld Middle East emerging as a global hub for perfumery, Kalsekar credited the UAE’s supportive business environment for fostering industry growth. The Riyaz Kalsekar Signature Fragrance marks a new chapter for Rasasi, blending tradition, passion, and modernity.
