SIG introduced its latest addition to the Neo filling machine portfolio, the SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic, at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 in Dubai, held from November 5-7. The new filling machine is designed to address the food and beverage industry’s need for high-speed, flexible production and increased capacity. This machine can fill up to 15,000 SIG Slimline packs per hour, a 25% increase in output compared to SIG’s standard filling systems for family-sized formats.
The SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic is part of SIG’s broader effort to provide solutions that prioritize high output, improved efficiency, and sustainability. Christoph Wegener, SIG’s Chief Markets Officer, highlighted the new machine’s role in responding to industry challenges. “Our customers are seeking higher production capacity, improved efficiency, and the ability to adapt to changing consumer trends. The SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic delivers on all these fronts, achieving a waste rate of less than 0.5%, integrating smart digitalization, and reducing Total Filling Costs by up to 15% compared to standard machines,” Wegener said.
With the capability to switch between 1L, 750mL, and 500mL packaging volumes and operate with various packaging materials, the machine offers flexibility for diverse product categories. Designed for producers aiming to increase output without expanding their facility, the compact footprint allows SIG to address spatial constraints in high-demand environments.
Enhanced by SIG Neo Shield for particle removal during bottom sealing and pre-folding, the Slimline 15 Aseptic delivers consistent quality and extended production cycles. It also includes semi-automatic cleaning, which minimizes downtime and maximizes operational efficiency.
Gavin Steiner, SIG’s Chief Technology Officer, noted the machine’s alignment with industry trends. “The SIG Neo Slimline 15 Aseptic sets a new standard for fast, flexible, and sustainable filling technology, ideal for manufacturers focused on rapid growth in limited spaces,” he said.
The SIG Neo technology platform is expected to expand across SIG’s multi-serve and single-serve portfolios, with ongoing innovations in aseptic carton filling machines. For more details, SIG representatives will be available at Booth C4-4, Hall 4, during the Gulfood Manufacturing event.
