Epson earns EcoVadis platinum rating for sustainability

Epson awarded EcoVadis Platinum rating for top sustainability efforts.

Seiko Epson Corporation has been awarded a platinum rating for sustainability by EcoVadis, a global provider of business sustainability ratings. The recognition places Epson among the top 1% of companies in its industry, particularly for its efforts in environmental practices, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

EcoVadis assesses more than 13,000 companies across 220 industries in 180 countries, with the platinum rating reflecting Epson’s continuous improvements in sustainability. The company has set ambitious goals, including becoming carbon negative and eliminating the use of underground resources by 2050.

“Epson’s platinum rating is a testament to our commitment to sustainability,” a company spokesperson said. The rating recognizes not only environmental efforts but also progress in labor rights and ethical standards.
